Saxo Modern Wealth Management launches ‘Model Portfolios’
Saxo Modern Wealth Management (MWM), the online investment subsidiary of Danish financial services group Saxo Bank, has launched a ‘Model Portfolio’ service for clients of its investment platform.
The service, launched for Saxo’s UK clients, aims to help mid- to long-term self-directed retail investors build diverse investment portfolios through funds, unit trusts or ETFs.
Clients use a specially designed tool, Ideator, to determine their general risk profile. The Model Portfolios are independently built and selected by Morningstar Investment Consultants to match the Ideator profiles. Clients then choose to invest in the Model Portfolios as they are, or make changes to suit their investment goals.
The portfolios can be accessed via ISA and SIPP accounts, which are provided by European Pensions Management Ltd, as well as through general investment accounts on the MWM platform.
Investors who are not yet clients of Saxo MWM can view descriptions and examples of fund portfolios at www.modernwealthmanagement.co.uk.
Karsten Henriksen, head of Modern Wealth Management for the UK market, said: “We offer our clients diversified Model Portfolios with funds and ETFs as an extra service free of charge. This is pure added value for clients who find it a challenge to build portfolios from scratch, and are faced with a choice of over 3,000 funds, unit trusts and ETFs.”
Saxo said: “This is another important step to meeting our clients’ needs by providing simple, easy to use tools and transparent fees and guidance for those who want to take charge of their own investments.”
Saxo Bank is authorised by Finanstilsynet, the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority. Client cash is guaranteed by the Danish state for the equivalent of €100.000. Clients’ securities portfolios will be kept in segregated custody.
