Schroders appoints head of Institutional North America
Schroders has hired Marc Mayer to lead its institutional business initiatives in North America.
Mayer brings more than 25 years of senior investment leadership experience.
Most recently, he served as CEO of GMO LLC. Prior to that, he spent 20 years at Alliance Bernstein where he served in various leadership roles including, head of Institutional Research, head of Institutional Brokerage, global head of Institutions, global head of Retail and CIO of Multi-Asset.
Schroders has experienced significant growth in its US institutional business during the past five years, with AUM rising from £9.79 ($15.8)bn in 2009 (as at 31st December 2009) to £21.12 ($35.20)bn (as at 31 March 2014), the company said.
