SS&C data service to target asset and wealth managers by late 2013
SS&C, the Connecticut, US based technology company is set to launch a cloud based investment data and analysis service, which will roll out to insurance clients first before being made available to asset and wealth managers later in 2013.
SS&C Investment Intelligence provides access and analysis of data from any source, including SS&C’s own applications and third party systems. Users can get data and analysis across all asset classes, via a customisable dashboard interface.
The service can be accessed on the go via mobile devices, and targets what SS&C calls ‘C Level Executives’, including chairmen, CEOs, presidents, COOs, VPs, and CFOs.
SS&C said the solution will be available globally. Because it is cloud based there is no limit on the size of client.
Licensing will be customised on a client by client case, with pricing affected by factors including data sources, underlying systems, and complexity of assets.
Barb Arnold, vice-president of Institutional Solutions, said: “Insurance companies have invested significantly in reporting tools such as data warehouses to bring together information from disparate trading and investment accounting systems. Yet, only a small subset of the information in the reports they receive is updated on a daily basis, with all other key financial data added in arrears. While knowing ‘what happened’ has value, having the ability to see something in real-time through SS&C Investment Intelligence will enable users to make much more timely decisions.”
