Syz & Co launches retail shares for Oyster European Selection
Retail investors have been given access to the Oyster European Selection fund from Syz & Co via the launch of a new share class, the manager has said.
The fund’s institutional shares returned over 83% since launch in November 2011, according to figures from the manager.
Managed by Eric Bendahan (pictured), who is based in London, the fund uses a five year investment horizon, which enables a more selective focus on holdings, including growth companies and those in turn-around situations.
Brendahan relies on bottom up stockpicking in key areas, including family companies, differentiated business models in mature sectors, companies where there are valuation discrepancies between shares and bonds, or where there are significant changes in management or shareholders.
Previously available to institutional investors with a minimum investment of €1m, the retail shares are available to all investors with no minimum investment required.
