The IMS Group appoints Burke managing director EMEA
The IMS Group has appointed its existing director and board member Stephen Burke (pictured) managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He will report to Michel van Leeuwen, chief executive of the firm.
The appointment comes after the decision of managing director of the UK office, Alan Leale-Green, to step down from his role.
Van Leeuwen said the size of the UK office doubled in the 18 months Leale-Green has spent there. “Stephen’s appointment reflects the continued growth of our rapidly expanding business in the UK,” he said.
Leale-Green will continue to offer his services to IMS on a part time project basis.
The IMS Group is a professional services group for the asset management and securities industry. It offers regulatory compliance consulting to regulated financial services firms worldwide from offices in London, New York, Boston and San Francisco.
It also provides related services, including hosted regulatory permissions, due diligence, compliance training, tax, accounting, risk management and recruitment.
Its clients include many of the world’s largest hedge fund managers, private equity firms, fund of funds managers, family offices and institutional pension funds.
Upon taking his new role, Burke called the firm “a fast growing company that addresses and supports the needs of its clients in this regulation heavy environment.”
