Towers Watson expands relationship with Microsoft
Professional services firm Towers Watson has deepened its relationship with Microsoft by adapting some of its software for the Windows Azure platform.
The companies have been working together at Microsoft’s technology centres to develop processes for risk modelling applications and solutions that take advantage of cloud computing.
Towers Watson has developed a range of software to support its work in actuarial, investment, human resources and risk management areas. Clients using this software already include pension funds, insurers, multinationals and sovereign wealth funds.
The deeper links to Microsoft are intended to improve the modelling software Towers Watson has already developed, as well as improve its pipeline products.
Dewey Forrester, senior director, Global Partner Team at Microsoft said: “We are delighted to be strengthening our relationship with Towers Watson in this way. They are a company offering a powerful combination of deep consulting expertise and excellent software solutions across multiple industries. Their innovative use of Windows Azure in high-end computing and analytical modelling will offer customers exceptional value.”
