Investment Europe’s Madrid Forum 2017 took place on 16 November at The Westin Palace (Madrid) where some 25 delegates attended presentations from Liontrust Asset Management, Nordea Asset Management, First Trust Global Portfolios and DNB Asset Management on a range of asset classes and strategies including European equities and covered bonds, as well as digital disruption and actively managed ETFs.
The Pensionskassenforum Zurich 2017 took place on 14 November at the Hotel Bau au Lac in the Swiss city, offering insights into institutional investor needs and ongoing changes to the local Swiss pensions market.
Individual speaker presentations were put by John M. Malloy, RWC Partners, Brian McDonnell, Macquarie Asset Management, and Urs Beck, EFG Asset Management, on areas including investments in Vietnam, US core fixed income, and Swiss equity. Additional views were put by Stefano Mach, fund manager at Azimut, on corporate hybrid bonds.

InvestmentEurope‘s Autumn Pan-European Summit Hamburg 2017 was held 11-13 October at the Hotel Sofitel Hamburg Alter Wall, and saw over 70 fund selector delegates hear ideas presented by 16 asset management groups.

Delegates were treated to a keynote address on the morning of the second day of the event, from Ulrich Walter, the German former astronaut who discussed his experiences going up in the Space Shuttle, and who outlined the way risk is handled by organisations and individuals.

The Funds Society Miami Summit 2017 was held 18 & 19 May at the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami, marking the third year in a row that InvestmentEurope/Open Door Media Publishing has maintained a presence among locally based fund selectors.
