Andbank’s Eafis director expands role to cover institutional unit

Horacio Encabo, director of Eafis (independent advisory firms) at Andbank Spain, will expand responsibilities to manage the institutional unit of the private banking firm.

Encabo’s new objective is to reinforce the institutional area, offering investment products in Luxembourg with local support.

In the last five years, Encabo has been responsible for Eafis at Andbank Spain. Previously, he worked as area manager and sales director in the institutional banking segment of Banco Madrid. Prior to this, we worked for Merchbanc and Caja Navarra.

Encabo has a degree in Economics and Business Studies from the Complutense University of Madrid, has different courses of specialization in futures and options markets and active portfolio management. He also holds the EFA (European Financial Advisor) certification from EFPA Spain.

Carlos Aso, CEO of Andbank Spain, notes that “Horacio has a vast experience in this field. With his appointment, we make a commitment for the Eafis as an additional model for clients, in view of the implementation of Mifid II regulations.”

Andbank Spain works with 45 Eafis and the segment’s turnover totals €800m. The institutional unit offers 45 sub-funds in Luxembourg, with earnings of €700m.
