Ardian appoints senior adviser

Paris headquartered private investment company Ardian has appointed Pierre-Antoine Gailly (pictured) as a senior adviser to Ardian Direct Funds, managing or advising $9bn (€8bn) in assets.

In his new position, he will advise the teams on deal origination and investment opportunities.

Gailly is the former chairman of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He currently runs Eolienne, a consulting and private equity company he founded, and he is a memeber of the supervisory committee of the Caisse des Dépôts.

Formerly, he held management positions including CEO of Bon Marché and Defossés International, deputy CEO of Fininfo.

He has also been chairman of the board of the Moulin Rouge.

Founded in 1996, Ardian has assets of $55bn (€49.1bn) managed or advised in Europe, North America and Asia.
