Aviva Investors hires general manager Taiwan

Aviva Investors has appointed Lian Yang as general manager of Aviva Investors Taiwan.

Formerly, Yang held positions such as head of Institutional Sales at Deutsche Far Eastern AM in Taipei and general manager of Robeco Taiwan.

Commenting Yang’s appointment, Kevin Talbot, CEO of Asia Pacific at Aviva Investors, said: “Taiwan presents a significant opportunity for Aviva Investors with the total offshore fund market currently valued at over $10 bn, and we are excited to further develop our business here in Taiwan and in the region.

“Lian brings a wealth of experience in the institutional and retail fund management industry, which will allow us to capitalise on the continued growth of Taiwan as an investment destination.”

Aviva Investors had £263bn (€360.3bn) in assets under management as of 30 June 2015.
