BNY Mellon makes strategic Asia-Pacific appointment
BNY Mellon has named Jane Caire as head of strategy & development, product & marketing for investment management in the Asia-Pacific region.
In the newly created role, Ciare will assist the firm’s strategic business development across the region. Caire will report to Alan Harden, Asia-Pacific CEO of BNY Mellon Investment Management, and be based in Hong Kong.
Harden said “Asia-Pacific is strategically a very important market for BNY Mellon and we are very serious in our ambitions to become one of the premier investment management firms in the region. We will do this by strengthening our distribution, both in-country and regionally, by developing our Asian equity capabilities in the region, and by building local and innovative product solutions, tailored to the needs of both our local and global clients.”
Caire, who has more than 19 years’ experience in the Asian financial services industry, joins BNY Mellon from ING Investment Management where she was head of business management.
“It’s a 10-year-plus journey, but we need to move the dial significantly over the next three to five years and we are hiring across the board, seeking talented people who are ambitious, entrepreneurial, innovative and up for a challenge. Jane is precisely the high calibre of individual we are looking for to help us achieve our ambitions and we are thrilled she is joining our team,” added Harden.
