Generali Investments Asia appoints CEO
Yezdi Chinoy has been appointed CEO of Generali Investments Asia, the Generali Group’s Asian asset management arm, based in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Generali, Chinoy was at Allianz Global Investors Singapore where he had been head of Compliance for South East Asia and South Asia since 2008.
Prior to that, he held senior positions with several global insurance and banking groups. He has a Bachelor degree in Commerce and an LL.B. from the University of Mumbai (India).
Santo Borsellino, chairman of Generali Investments Asia, said: “Generali Investments Asia is a very important element of the Generali Group’s asset management strategy. Therefore, we are very happy to have an expert and talented leadership team driving it forward. As CEO, Yezdi Chinoy will further develop and strengthen our business in Asia.”
As CEO, Yezdi Chinoy succeeds Terence Wong, who has been appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Generali Investments Asia. Terence is also responsible for the Generali Group’s insurance operations in South East Asia and Hong Kong. Terence joined Generali in November 2011 after a 23-year stint at Prudential Financial. He has a Bachelor of Science from Yale University.
