Legal & General IM hires new head of Asian equities
Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Legal & General plc, has appointed Suresh Sadasivan as its new head of Asian equities, replacing David Riddle, who is retiring at the end of May after 14 years in the position.
Sadasivan has over 12 years experience in the industry and has had significant exposure to managing a number of top performing funds, a company statement said. He was formerly the head of emerging markets equities at Old Mutual Asset Management based in Singapore.
Sadasivan will be based in London and report to Ian King, head of international equities at LGIM.
Commenting on the appointment, King said, “We are delighted to welcome an investor of Suresh’s calibre to LGIM, bringing as he does a wealth of successful fund management experience across a range of markets.”
