Nikko AM hires Middle East, Africa and Asia executives

Tokyo-based Nikko Asset Management has announced the appointment of three executives to lead the client development in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

John Howland-Jackson, joins Nikko AM as its vice chairman of Nikko Asset Management Europe and senior advisor for the Middle East, Africa and Asia region.

Based in London, he will be in charge of broadening the firm’s presence in the respective regions. He joins Nikko AM from ING Bank, where he worked as senior managing director.

Ian Lewis joins as head of global consultant relations, he will be based in Singapore. He joins from Ardevora Asset Management, where he was a partner. Lewis has also worked at UBS Global Asset Management and Towers Watson.

Charles Allard has been appointed as head of sales North Asia, where Nikko AM has established a joint venture with Rongtong Fund Management, Allard will be based in Hong Kong. He joins Nikko AM from Winton Capital Management, where he most recently worked as director and head of sales for South East Asia.

Mona Dohle speaks German and Dutch, she is DACH & Benelux Correspondent for InvestmentEurope. Prior to that, she worked as a journalist in Egypt and Palestine.
