Pan Asia Dividend Aristocrats licenced to State Street for new ETF
S&P Dow Jones Indices has licensed its S&P Pan Asia Dividend Aristocrats index to State Street Global Advisors for the launch of an ETF.
The index measures the performance of companies in the S&P Pan Asia Broad Market Index that have consistently increased dividends every year for at least seven years.
Both capital growth and dividend income characteristics are highlighted by the indices, which do not focus on just yield or capital appreciation. This is reflected in the spread of constituents across a broader range of sectors, not just high yielding firms in the financial or utility sectors, S&P DJI said.
The Pan Asia Dividend Aristocrats index had 46 constituents as of 1 April. By country they break down as follows:
– Japan 20
– Australia 8
– China 6
– Hong Kong 4
– Taiwan 2
– Malaysia 2
– South Korea 2
– Singapore 1
– India 1
