Pictet launches Asian market neutral fund

Pictet Asset Management has announced the launch of PTR Phoenix, an equity market neutral fund offering investors access to Asian stock markets.

The fund aims to base its asset allocation on structural themes such as a surge in Chinese tourists to Japan or Hong Kong’s retail woes – and assess their impact on industries and companies. Themes will be expressed through a combination of long and short positions with the aim of neutralising market risk and generating alpha.

The fund is managed by a three person strong team based in Singapore, which is led by James Kim, alongside his colleagues Tai Panich and Jing Wang.

It is Ucits compliant and offers weekly liquidity as well as daily pricing. It is is currently registered for sale in Austria, Belgium, France, Great Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Spain and Germany.
