Aviva strengthens sales in DACH region

Aviva Investors expanded its sales force for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Aviva Investors appointed Markus Bertl as head of Wholesale Germany and Austria. For the asset management arm of the British insurer Aviva, Bertl will take care of these markets, especially private banks, umbrella funds and family offices.

Bertl will report to Karsten-Dirk Steffens, who heads up as head of Wholesale Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH).

Bertl joins from Natixis Global Asset Management. There he was most recently responsible for the German and Austrian wholesale markets. He previously worked for UBS Global Asset Management, Rothschild Asset Management and Goldman Sachs.

Steffens has been with Aviva Investors since 2011 and was previously responsible for managing the customer base for Germany and Austria. In his new position he is responsible for the business development in the DACH region as well as the product distribution to financial institutions. He reports from Zurich to Tjeerd Voskamp, ​​head of Wholesale Europe at Aviva Investors.
