AXA IM appoints deputy manager on American Growth fund
AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has announced the appointment of David Shaw as deputy manager of the AXA Framlington American Growth fund.
Based in London, Shaw will report to the fund’s lead manager and head of US strategies, Stephen Kelly.
Shaw will also be deputy on the AXA WF Framlington American Growth fund (Luxembourg SICAV) and a number of additional segregated mandates. Former co-manager of the fund, Dan Harlow has re-joined the UK equities team as manager of the AXA Framlington UK Smaller Companies fund.
Shaw has over 20 years’ experience in North American and UK equity portfolio management. He joins from Aerion Fund Management, where he spent 13 years co-managing a £900m North American equity portfolio.
Prior to this he was a UK portfolio manager at Aerion and before that Shaw spent three years as a UK fund manager at NPI Asset Management. He has also worked as a senior investment analyst at NatWest Investment Management and as a UK investment analyst at United Friendly Insurance.
