Bafin appoints deputy president
Bafin (Federal Financial Supervisory Authority) has appointed chief executive director Elisabeth Roegele as deputy president, effective 1 August 2018. President Felix Hufeld presented Roegele with the letter of appointment from the Federal Ministry of Finance.
The vice president is responsible for the permanent representation of the president. Since Karl-Burkhard Caspari, vice president of Bafin from 2002 to 2015, has retired, the role remained vacant. The Deputy President is appointed by the Federal Ministry of Finance on the recommendation of BaFin’s President.
Roegele has been the chief executive director for Securities Supervision at BaFin since 1 May 2015. She served as general counsel and head of The Corporate Centre for Legal Affairs at DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale. She has worked as the head of The Ad Hoc Disclosure Section at BaFin.
