Ackman’s Pershing plans $2bn Amsterdam fund listing

US hedge fund manager Bill Ackman has announced a plan to launch Pershing Square Holdings, an IPO at Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange as of 13 October, with the aim of raising £2bn (€1.54bn) outside the US.

The fund will be run by Pershing Square Capital Management, a New-York based activist hedge fund company founded and managed by Bill Ackman with an AUM currently exceeding £14bn (€10.8bn).

According to Pershing Square Holdings, the fund has already commitments of $1.5 (€1.15bn) from 30 cornerstone investors.
