Actiam appoints business development head

Dutch SRI-focused asset manager Actiam has appointed André van den Heuvel as head of Business Development.

In this role, Van den Heuvel is responsible for institutional relationships, distribution partnerships, retail and marketing & communication.

He will focus on further strengthening the position of Actiam, both within the Netherlands and internationally.

Van den Heuvel was hitherto an independent adviser primarily for Dutch institutional clients at Hampton Advies he founded in 2014.

Before that, he was head of International Client Group and member of the management board at NN IP. In that position, he was responsible for all commercial activities in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Formerly, he held roles with BlackRock such as head Institutional Business Benelux and managing director. He has also been head of Client Business and Investment Management at F & C Netherlands (now BMO).

Van den Heuvel started his professional career at Robeco as a fixed income portfolio manager.
