Actiam appoints CIO

Dutch SRI-focused asset manager Actiam has named Arnold Gast as chief investment officer.

Gast has taken up his new responsibilities on 1 June 2017. Among others, he will be working on the responsible investment policy of Actiam.

He has also joined the manager’s board of directors.

Gast’s appointment follows that of André van den Heuvel as head of Business Development in May.

Gast tallies almost 20 years of experience in investment.  He has held a number of roles with Delta Lloyd such as head of Credit & co-head of Fixed Income and portfolio manager.

He was a board member of the European Private Placement Association and the chairman of the investor advisory board for the Delta Lloyd Mezzanine fund.

Gast also worked at ABN Amro Asset Management and started his career at Theodoor Gilissen Bankiers.
