Aegon part of new Dutch internet bank launch

Aegon’s banking licences in the Netherlands are being used to support the launch of a new online bank charging a fixed €15 monthly fee.

It is reported in DutchNews that the bank – called Knab – is being developed by Rene Frijters, a co-founder of investment bank Alex, and who worked for the DSB banking group.

The bank intended to automate functions, such as sweeping money from savings accounts into daily accounts when it detects a threat of going overdrawn.
