AXA launches WF Global Strategic Bonds
AXA Investment Managers has launched AXA WF Global Strategic Bonds, a Luxemburg-domiciled fund designed to give investors the opportunity to diversify their exposure to global bond markets.
Managed by Nick Hayes (pictured), the fund has both retail and institutional share classes with no minimum investment into the retail share class and €5m into the institutional share class.
The manager will capitalise on alpha-generating opportunities throughout the macroeconomic cycle and it will have a diversified portfolio. Actively managing duration exposure is also central to the overall performance and will minimise interest rate risk, AXA said.
“The AXA WF Global Strategic Bonds is a flexible, broadly diversified portfolio of global fixed income assets. With an unconstrained investment approach applied within a tightly-controlled risk framework we will take a top down investment view, combining global macro views with local market insight, in order to determine an optimal asset allocation strategy,” Haynes said.
AXA IM manages more than €287bn globally in the fixed income market
The fund is not currently registered for sale in any other jurisdiction other than Luxembourg and AXA IM is considering registration across a number of countries in Europe.
