Candriam launches multi-asset income strategies

Candriam has announced the launch of two strategies : multi-asset income and multi-asset income and growth.

These non-benchmarked strategies aim to deliver an annual return of respectively 2% and 5%, through a tailored and diverse portfolio of assets, which adapt to changing market conditions.

Koen Maes, global head of Asset Allocation at Candriam : “In this current market environment, if investors want to generate more income over the long term, they have to increase the diversification of portfolio assets. The financial markets offer a wide variety of assets generating more or less attractive returns depending on the economic and financial environment. Our goal is to establish the best allocation of these assets depending on the market conditions.”

Nadège Dufossé, head of Asset Allocation, added : “Risk is the starting point of the portfolio management process.”

“We have defined a limited maximum average volatility level for each strategy: 4% for Multi-Asset Income and 8% for Multi-Asset Income & Growth. We use this risk budget to determine the optimal asset allocation based on our estimates to achieve the targeted return. We also add hedging strategies during turbulent periods in order to mitigate correction risks,” she said.

Candriam is part of the New York Life Investment Management Group since 2014 and has €91bn in assets under management.
