Carmignac Gestion Luxembourg to become a management company
Carmignac Gestion Luxembourg is to request CSSF approval for an extension of its agreement to obtain Management Company status.
Historically, the Luxembourg subsidiary has held the role of global distributor. The status change would mean it becomes manager of the Carmignac Portfolio Sicav, and would be able to develop its regulated activities beyond the current scope of local marketers.
Leading the change are two of Carmignac’s senior managers – Eric Le Coz and Davide Fregonese – who will become managing directors of the Luxembourg management company, jointly with Antoine Bruneau currently Group financial controller.
Le Coz will keep the lead at the Group level for product development. He remains a member of the Investment Committee, of the Strategic Development Committee, and of the board of directors of Carmignac Gestion.
Davide Fregonese will retain the lead role at the Group level for client development. He remains a member of the Strategic Development Committee and of the board of directors of Carmignac Gestion.
