Delta Lloyd Bank rebrands as Banque Nagelmackers

Belgian group Delta Lloyd Bank has changed its name into Banque Nagelmackers as from 5 October 2015.

The Banque Nagelmackers 1747 was abandoned in 2005 following the inclusion of the private banking activity within Delta Lloyd Bank.

Under its new brand, the group wants to position itself as a personal and private bank rather than a retail bank.

Piet Verbrugge, CEO of Nagelmackers, said the personal and private banking approach Nagelmackers will run is different from the 2005 firm’s private banking strategy. A new shareholder in Nagelmackers’ capital, Anbang Belgium Holding, part of Chinese insurance group Anbang and with €120bn in assets under management, will support the new approach.

Nagelmackers tallies 512 employees and 114 offices. As at end August 2014, it had €13.28bn of assets under management.
