French private equity firm to work closer with SGG Group

Paris-based private equity manager Equitis is to work closer with Luxembourg-headquartered financial group SGG.

Established in 2000, Equitis remains also among the key players in the French corporate trust space (fiducie) and currently tallies €2.5bn in assets under management.

Equitis has set a target of doubling its AUM over the coming three years.

SGG, which has seen investment firm Astorg Partners becoming main shareholder earlier this year, seeks to strengthen its product offering, in particular towards institutional investors.

The deal will allow Equitis and SGG to develop a corporate trust offering in new countries.

SGG Group proposes illiquid asset strategies including infrastructure, real estate, private equity such as venture capital, early stage, mezzanine, buy-out (equity and debt instruments) as well as fund of funds.
