ING Belgium names new head of Retail & Private Banking

ING Belgium has appointed Philippe Wallez as head of Retail & Private Banking.

Wallez, who was general manager private banking of ING Belgium since 2012, will join the executive committee of the company.

He will succeed Colette Dierick who will take the role of CEO of ING Luxembourg.

Wallez will report directly to Rik Vandenberghe, CEO of ING Belgium.

Wallez joined ING in 2000 as head of Marketing Intelligence.

In 2003 he was appointed commercial director of the Namur-Luxembourg-Walloon Brabant region before being named general marketing manager in 2006.

Wallez began his career in 1989 as product manager at Unilever.
