ING IM expands services into London
ING Investment Management (ING IM) is expanding its activities in London with the aim of developing its UK institutional and third-party business.
ING IM has opened up a business development branch within the offices the Group already occupies at 60 London Wall in the City. Previously, ING products offered in London focused on European bank loans.
Two recruits have been brought on board to oversee the expansion of the investment management business. Paul Waters joined as director, UK institutional, from AIG Investments where he headed up its UK sales.
Beforehand, he was head of client services and consultant relationships for Aviva Investors.
The second hire, Peter Wilson, became director for ING IM’s UK wholesale business. He previously led sales for the UK discretionary arm of Invista Real Estate Management.
Prior to that, he was sales director for the UK, Ireland, Switzerland and Scandinavia at Ivey Cox Consulting Ltd.
The two report to Deepti Bhandoola, ING IM’s UK country head who continues to divide time between London and ING IM’s headquarters in The Hague.
Bhandoola has worked for ING IM for over 10 years, as business development manager for the UK, and product specialist in its global core equity and global high dividend divisions.
