J.P. Morgan’s asset servicing business hires Benelux head

J.P. Morgan World Securities Services (JPM WSS) has signalled an expansion of its business into Benelux by hiring a head of business development for the region.

Based in the Netherlands, Rene Wiegel began working for the securities services provider on 1 April.

He left his role covering Benelux and the Swiss market at BNY Mellon in December 2010, after a total of 11 years with the bank. Previously, he was at ABN AMRO for 20 years.

In his current role at JPM WSS, Wiegel will make use of his knowledge of the region and of working with institutional clients.

JPM WSS is the asset-servicing division of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank. Typically, it offers services to institutional investors, alternative asset managers, broker dealers and equity issuers.

It has $16.1 trillion in assets under custody and $7.3 trillion in funds under administration.
