Julius Baer builds out Dutch private banking team

Following the recently finalised acquisition of Merrill Lynch’s Wealth Management activities in the Netherlands by Julius Baer, the Swiss private banking group has now announced the appointment of three new relationship managers.

In a bid to build out its capacities in the Dutch market, the Julius Baer has aquired Merrill Lynch’s International Wealth Management activities in 2012, the transfer has been concluded last month.

Julius Baer has now appointed Eelco Pronk, Ben van de Velde and Huib Dekker as relationship managers. All three previously worked as senior investment advisors at Rabobank Private Banking Asset Management. They will report to Geoffrey Bruyn, head of Julius Baer Netherlands.

Pronk has been with Rabobank since 2006 and has previously worked for ABN AMRO Private Banking. Dekker also joined Rabobank from ABN AMRO Private Banking, where he has worked as head investment specialist. Van de Velde has also previously worked with Rabobank, ABN AMRO, as well as ING Private Banking.
