KBL appoints group head of Asset Management

Luxembourg-headquartered KBL European Private Bankers (KBL epb) has appointed Kristel Cools as group head of Asset Management.

Cools will be responsible for the management and sales of all 65 group funds and will report to KBL’s CIO Stefan Van Geyt.

“Cools will streamline and enhance the group’s existing fund range – raising awareness of the brand name “Richelieu Investment Funds,” under which such funds are marketed – while strengthening the group’s fund sales organisation and growing total assets under management,” the firm pointed out.

Cools will split her time between the offices of KBL epb in Luxembourg, Puilaetco Dewaay in Brussels and KBL Richelieu in Paris.

Cools joins from BNPP IP Belgium where she worked as head of Group Networks and a member of the executive committee. Before that, she was head of Sales Belgium at Fortis Investments between 2001 and 2009.

She started her career at Fortis as branch manager in 1997.
