Lombard Odier hires head of Benelux sales
Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM) has named Marcel van Ostaden as head of sales for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Van Ostaden, who will be based in Amsterdam, had been sales director for the Netherlands at BlackRock since 2005. Previously, he worked at F&C Asset Management in the Netherlands, among others.
Van Ostaden will report to Marius Wuergler, head of European sales for LOIM, who said: “In these volatile markets, Marcel will help us to bring our range of products to investors in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg who are on the look-out for innovative solutions. Benelux is already a significant market for LOIM’s business and has great potential under Marcel’s leadership.”
LOIM, a Geneva-based subsidiary of Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie, at the end of December 2011 managed almost €28bn on behalf of clients.
