Mid-August deadline looms for Luxembourg AIFs, warns Loyens & Loeff
Luxembourg based lawyers Loyens & Loeff have warned that all managers of alternative investment funds, including certain SOPARFIs, UCIs, SIFs, and SICARs must carry out an assessment of their activities and provide relevant information to the Commission de Surveillance du Sector Financier (CSSF) by 16 August.
The CSSF requires information on the name and address of the AIFM, whether it is an internal or external AIFM, whether it requires authorisation or registration with the CSSF.
Should the self-assessment the entity finds it is an AIFM, which has been performing activities falling under the AIFM law before 22 July 2013, it must register immediately with the CSSF.
