Multifonds lures former head of SSgA
Bill Hunt, former chief executive and president of State Street Global Advisors, has joined Luxembourg-based fund software provider Multifonds on its board of directors.
Hunt has spent the bulk of his career between the US and Asia and his appointment to the Multifonds’ board reflects the company’s ambitions in those regions.
Oded Weiss, chief executive of Multifonds, explained Hunt’s experience in the US and Asian markets while at SSgA makes him “perfectly suited to help us continue the exciting growth trend at Multifonds. Both markets are key areas for us over the coming year.”
Earlier this month Multifonds announced it had hired Chee Seng Lok as business development manager and Andy Chua as regional product manager to bolster its Asian division.
Lok joined from BNP Paribas Securities Services where he was a director and product head for Asian fund services.
Chua was previously the global operation head for fund services at Standard Chartered Bank where he oversaw the roll out of three new platforms: fund accounting, alternative investment transfer agency and retail transfer agency.
Multifonds was founded in 1995 and its clients include custodians, fund administrators and asset managers such as Société Générale Securities Services, BNP Paribas and Citi. Its key products include fund accounting, transfer agent and portfolio accounting.
