OBSR announces ratings on RWC income funds, updates view on BlackRock Global Allocation
OBSR, part of Morningstar, has issued ‘A’ ratings on the Luxembourg-domiciled RWC Enhanced Income and RWC Income Opportunities funds.
These new ratings are merited by the performance and experience of the managers Nick Purves and Ian Lance.
Previously, they managed the OBSR AA rated Schroder Income fund, before joining RWC last year.
The RWC Income Opportunities portfolio is designed to provide a total return, including an absolute dividend yield.
“OBSR believes the managers’ experience and the flexibility afforded to them in this mandate make this an attractive offering for investors wishing to diversify their UK Equity Income exposure, while still retaining a focus on the UK market,” the agency said in its ratings note.
John Teehan is responsible for overseeing the RWC Enhanced Income fund, although the underlying asset selection is performced by Purves and Lance.
In further ratings news, OBSR announced it had raised the rating on the BlackRock Global Funds Global Allocation fund to AAA from A.
“The strength and credibility of the BGF Global Allocation team and its strong consistent track record, earn the fund our highest rating,” OBSR said.
