Offshore focus sees Ogier add to Luxembourg office

Ogier, the international law firm, has appointed Betrand Geradin as new partner in its Luxembourg office, as it looks to boost its offshore offering by using his expertise in advising private equity and real estate clients, asset managers and multinational companies.

The appointment takes the number of Luxembourg based partners to five, with a total team of some 25 locally. The business is expected to grow as the jurisdiction modernises its company law and introduces its reserved alternative investment fund (Raif) structure.

Ogier also announced the appointment of Julia Journée, as senior associate in the Banking and Finance team, and Bernard Elslander, as associate in the Corporate and Commercial team.
