Rabobank Netherlands hires two ING Executives

Rabobank has announced the appointment of Carin Gorter (pictured) and Bas Brouwers as members of the Executive Board, both join from the group’s competitor ING.

The existing role of Chief Financial and Risk Officer, currently held by Bert Bruggink, will be split, Gorter will become Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Brouwers will take up the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), subject to regulatory approval.

Since 2008, Gorter has been a member of several Supervisory Boards within the financial services sector, including the cooperative insurance companies VGZ and TVM and at ING Group. Until April 2013, she was a member of the Dutch Banking Code Monitoring Committee.

Brouwers worked for ING DiBA between 2007 and 2013 he was CFO and director of ING DiBa from 2008 to 2013. From 2013 on, he was CFO of ING Nederland.
