Rahul Chadha of Mirae Asset Global Investments to speak at Amsterdam Forum

Rahul Chadha, co-chief investment officer at Mirae Asset Global Investments, will be taking part in InvestmentEurope’s Professional Investor Forum in Amsterdam on 8 October.

Chadha (pictured) will be sharing his views on how to approach bottom-up investing in Asia, particularly given the current investment environment.

Arguing that the best way to navigate the markets is to take a high conviction, fundamental stockpicking approach, Chadha will explain how sector leading and quality companies can deliver consistent levels of outperformance to investors.

As co-chief investment officer at Mirae Asset Global Investments (HK), Chadha helps oversee the entire Investment Unit comprising portfolio managers, research analysts and traders who are responsible for the management of the firm’s Asia Pacific investment products.

He is a member of the Investment Committee and plays a key role in the development and approval of internal investment policies, processes and key investment decisions for the entire Mirae Asset Global Investments Group. He also sits on the Risk Management Committee which oversees overall investment risks for the firm. Chadha manages many of the firm’s Asia Pacific equity portfolios and frequently interacts with portfolio companies and investors to communicate the company’s investment philosophy and views on the Asia Pacific markets.

Chadha joined Mirae Asset in 2006, initially working at Mirae Asset Global Investments (Singapore) Pvt. Ltd as an analyst. He was subsequently promoted to the Portfolio Manager role to manage some of the firm’s flagship funds and later became Senior Portfolio Manager in August 2008. In 2011, he diversified into managing Asia Pacific mandates for Mirae Asset’s US  and Luxembourg-domiciled funds.

Rahul began his career in financial services in 1999 when he joined Dundee Mutual Funds as an equity analyst covering the entire range of listed India equities, leaving in 2003 to join Aviva Life Insurance as a senior equity analyst. He later joined Standard Chartered Mutual Funds as a senior equity analyst.
