Staff shakeup at A&M Benelux
Consulting company Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has expanded its Benelux offering due to increased demand from clients in the region for specialist business advisory expertise.
A&M’s Amsterdam office has created a transaction advisory group alongside its more established business lines which include financial industry advisory services.
The transaction advisory group team will be led by managing director Joop de Hoogh (pictured).
Dutch transaction advisory specialists Casper de Bruyn and Rogier van Mazijk have been appointed senior director and senior associate respectively within the European transaction advisory group practice.
Both Bruyn and Mazijk previously worked with KPMG Transaction Services in the Netherlands.
Paul Aversano, managing director of A&M’s transaction advisory group, explained that investment returns are increasingly driven by operational improvement.
As a result, “the private equity industry has had to embrace new strategies to create value,” he argued.
Aversano is hopeful A&M’s new recruits will enable the company to engage effectively in the “next era” of private equity investment.
A&M’s global forensic and dispute services practice has also appointed Tjeerd Krol as a managing director based in Amsterdam. Joining from Deloitte, Krol’s previous experience lies in audit and financial investigations, financial reporting and compliance consulting services.
Also joining the A&M global forensic and dispute services practice as director in Amsterdam is Tjebbe de Jong from Deloitte Forensic & Dispute Services.
A&M, founded in 1983, is a professional services company specializing in turnaround and interim management, performance improvement and tax and business advisory services and offers operational, consulting and industry advice to managers and investors.
