State Street appoints country head Netherlands

Pieter de Jong (pictured) has now been promoted to country head Netherlands for State Street Corporation.

De Jong has been with State Street since 2004 and has served as chief operating officer for State Street’s Edinburgh office for the last three years. Prior to this role, he was managing director for State Street in South Africa.He joined the firm from ABN Amro Asset Management, where he was senior operations manager.

De Jong will report to Willie Slattery, executive vice president of State Street and head its Global Services business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Commenting on the appointment, Slattery said, “Pieter’s appointment further bolsters our Global Services footprint in EMEA. His role will ensure that our Dutch presence will continue to grow with a focus on building our client relationships.”
