BlackRock hires former Deutsche Bank Chile exec
BlackRock has appointed Andrés De Goyeneche as its regional director for Chile, Peru and Uruguay.
He will report to Armando Senra, BlackRock’s head of Latin America and Iberia.
Goyeneche was previously Deutsche Bank’s general manager in Chile. Prior to that, he was head of capital markets and treasury solutions for the bank, providing financial solutions to local companies and institutional clients. Before joining Deutsche Bank in 2000, Goyeneche worked at Banco Santander and Citibank.
“Andrew’s extensive experience in the industry, combined with his deep knowledge of the local market, positioned him to develop the business of BlackRock. His hiring further strengthens the business of BlackRock in Latin America and emphasizes our commitment to the region,” Senra said.
BlackRock’s team in Latin America and Iberia include more than 130 investment professionals throughout the region, with 13 of them based in Chile, Peru and Uruguay. The team for Latin America and Iberia offers investment solutions to retail and institutional clients and currently manages near $16bn in assets in Chile, Peru and Uruguay.
