Candriam’s Shende on EM Debt at Lausanne Summit
Charudatta Shende, senior client portfolio manager at Candriam Investors Group, will address emerging market debt at the InvestmentEurope Pan-European Lausanne Summit taking place on 25-27 April 2018 at the Beau-Rivage Palace.
Although EM Debt benefits from improving fundamentals and relatively attractive yields, it faces challenges arising from external factors (such as Fed rate hike) and EM specific risks – such as political instability.
Shende will outline the Candriam Bonds Emerging Market fund, which implements a unique investment process – with ESG factors incorporated – based on a distinctive “relative value” approach in order to deliver risk-adjusted returns across the EMD HC universe.
Shende has been a senior client portfolio manager within the fixed income team at Candriam since September 2016, responsible for the communication regarding all FI strategies, focusing on EM Debt and Credit. With over 12 years’ experience in the asset management industry, and 10 years within the fixed income universe, Shende joined Candriam from Carmignac Gestion, where he worked as product specialist in France, in charge of communication on the fixed income funds. He began his career as a product research analyst at Pioneer Investments in Dublin.
