Gazprombank appoints Aylin Suntay as head of asset management

Gazprombank has appointed Aylin Suntay as head of asset management. She will be first vice-president.

Before joining Gazprombank, Suntay was deputy chief investment officer of equities at Pictet Asset Management in Switzerland with investment management centres in Geneva, Zurich, London, Tokyo and Singapore.

Prior to joining Pictet, Aylin’s positions included head of European Equities at First State in London; and Emerging Markets Fund Manager at Nicholas Applegate in San Diego and London.

Commenting on the appointment, Alexey Matveev, deputy chairman of Gazprombank said: “Gazprombank is delighted to be able to benefit from Aylin’s twenty years of top-class international investment management expertise. Her experience as a senior investment manager across a wide range of products and geographies will play a vital part in further strengthening our asset management business.”
