Renaissance Asset Managers appoints head of research
Renaissance Asset Managers (RAM) has appointed Mark Robinson, a Prague-based consultant, as head of research.
Robinson joins from Wood & Company, an investment bank and asset management house originally founded in the Czech Republic, which focuses on European emerging markets. There, he was head of research and head of equities.
Robinson’s new role will see him leading RAM’s thematic research and working closely with the investment teams on strategy and asset allocation across portfolios.
He has 18 years of experience in the field, having worked in the fund management division of JP Morgan Fleming on its emerging European fund, as well as heading up equity research at UniCredit bank.
RAM is the asset management business of Renaissance Group, an investment firm focused exclusively on emerging markets. Its key areas are Russia, the CIS, emerging Europe, Africa and frontier markets.
The investment manager currently has $2.9bn in assets under management, including $513m in Ucits funds.
