Sberbank hires Merrill Lynch banker
Sberbank of Russia has hired Vlada Gosal from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) as managing director for debt capital markets in its investment banking team.
She will report to Pavel Sokolov, co-head of corporate finance.
At BAML she was head of debt capital markets for Russia and CIS. She focused on establishing an efficient platform in the region and building a successful team.
Prior to this, she worked at BNP Paribas in London and Moscow and has nearly a decade of experience in the field.
Her appointment is the latest in a number of senior hires to the investment banking business of Sberbank, following its official merger with Troika Dialog early this year.
Recent appointments include Eduard Jabarov as director for debt capital markets. He joined the firm from Renaissance Capital in Moscow, where he headed up fixed income strategy on the domestic ruble markets.
