Troika Dialog hires senior M&A director
Troika Dialog, a leading Russian investment firm, has appointed Sergei Khaliullin as director in the mergers & acquisitions team in Moscow.
Khaliullin joins from Alfa Bank, where he was director of corporate finance. He has nearly 12 years of global banking experience, having worked in Germany, the UK and Russia. He has also previously held positions at Merrill Lynch, Renaissance Capital and Goldman Sachs. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
In his new role, Khaliullin will report to Dirk Werner, managing director and head of M&A execution.
Troika Dialog has been busy expanding its team over the last few months. In May, the firm announced three senior hires: Steve Kale as managing director, head of the equity syndicate group; David Theys as managing director, head of telecoms, media & technology investment banking; and Dmitry Zubatyuk as director and senior banker for the oil & gas sector investment banking team. Kale and Theys assumed their duties in May, and Zubatyuk started in June. On June 18, Dimitri Casvigny joined as managing director and head of industrials in the investment banking division.

It is part of the Sberbank Group and is active in the areas of securities sales and trading, investment banking, private wealth and asset management, direct and venture investments, as well as personal investment and finance. Its offices are located in 21 cities across Russia as well as New York, London, Nicosia, Kyiv and Almaty.
