Deutsche Bank appoints country head Austria

Deutsche Bank has appointed Christoph Grießer as new head in Austria, effective 1 October 2018. He succeeds Rainer Polster, who will leave the bank.

Grießer has been with Deutsche Bank for over 25 years, most recently as head of the market area Bavaria-Southwest for the private and corporate client bank, where he was responsible for the care of customers from German small and medium-sized businesses from Augsburg. His beginnings at Deutsche Bank were initially in investment banking and in the corporate bank.

His predecessor Polster will leave Deutsche Bank after 22 years and take on a new challenge in the German financial industry.. He was chief country head in Austria for eight years and was also responsible within the Corporate and Investment Bank for serving customers from the financial services industry in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
