Mifid II response requires 750,000 paragraphs

JWG, a specialist publisher and solutions provider around financial regulation, is launching a new Mifid II course in London in November, which relies on the collection of a Mifid II document library containing some 750,000 paragraphs of text.

The course is intended to assist financial professionals in developing their response to Mifid II. JWG said the key question facing those affected is: “Can you explain to your regulator what you are doing to meet the entiety of the change requirements?”

JWG said the training would look to use crowdsourcing “to spot deltas and navigate the evolving Mifid II landscape”.

The text has been collected in JWG’s RegDelta database, which contains documentation that financial institutions need to control and manage their responses to regulatory change. The database is combined with search and retrieval tools, enabling users to find and prioritise the information that is most relevant to them.

PJ Di Giammarino, CEO, JWG, said: “We are excited to be scaling up our Mifid II Implementation Training programme at such a critical time for those trading in the EU.  We take pride in being able to provide our clients with the tools and knowledge they need to successfully manage and thrive during this period of transition.  Those that can adapt to the changes quickly and efficiently will be the ones to prosper.”
